3.19.04 - The Ponce Leonas handed the Corozal Pinkin their fourth loss of the post season last night at Ponce's Pachins Vicens Gym. Playing its second match in as many nights, and third in four days, the Pinkin only won the second game, 25-19, while losing the first and third, 9-25, and the fourth, 18-25. The Pinkin will now face the Toa Baja Llaneras on Sunday night at Corozal in their last home game of the 2004 season.

Corozal is now 1-4 in the playoffs with two matches to go. The best scorer for Corozal was Jessenia Resto with 16 points. For Ponce, April Ross scored 17 and Katie Osolvsky, 13 points.

3.18.04 - The Pinkin fell to Isabela 3-2 tonight in very tight game at Corozal. Corozal played without Jessica Candelario, who is taking part on an international competition of high-school volleyball in Chipre, and Jacque Robinson (shoulder), and gave its best to take the match to a decisive fifth-game. Corozal now faces Ponce Friday, March 19th at the Leonas home gym.

Corozal is now 1-3 in the playoff with three matches to go. The best scorers for Corozal were Jessenia Resto with 35 points and Anais Urdaz with 22. For Isabela, Dana Stearn scored 23.

3.16.04 - The Bayamón Vaqueras got a 3-0 victory over the Pinkin tonight at the Vaqueras' home gym. The match scores were 25-21, 25-17 and 25-17, all in favor of Bayamón. Corozal is 1-2 in the first round of the playoff while Bayamón improves to 2-2. Next up for the Pinkin on Thursday are the Isabela Playeras who are still winless in the post season.

After a close first game, Corozal just could not find its rythmn and Bayamón took full advantage for the easy win. For Corozal, Jessenia, Jessica, Anais and Rayma had 6 points each. For Bayamón, Laura Pilakwosky had 13.

3.9.04 - The Pinkin started the 2004 season with a loss to the league-leading Caguas Criollas, who beat them 3-0. The game scores were 25-18, 25-18 and 25-19. Corozal tried to repeat last year's suprise victory over the Criollas in the openning game, but Caguas also had the loss fresh in their memories and played with high intensity. The Pinkin had no answer for Caguas offense and defense. Corozal record falls to 0-1, and their next game is against the Guaynabo Conquistadoras on Saturday, March 13th, at Corozal. The best scorer for Corozal was Jessenia Resto with 11 points, followed by Jacque Robinson with 10; For Caguas, Kim Willougby had 19 points.
