The match starts with both teams playing great defense and forcing turnovers. Toa Baja takes a 8-7 lead with a Graciela Marquez kill. Consecutive offensive errors force the Pinkin to take their first time out, 12-8. Amazing defense and timely blocking put the Llaneras ahead 16-10. Corozal simply cannot figure out how to hit through Toa Baja's defense and fall behind 19-10, and taking their second time out. The Llaneras beging moving their players, and Corozal makes a run closing in to 23-20. But a serve error and a kill by Toa Baja end the first game, 25-21.

The Pinkin quickly fall behind in the second game, 4-1, but come back to take a brief, 6-5 lead thanks to ggod defense and second chances in offense. The Llaneras get the lead back, 8-6, and extend it to 16-13 halfway in the game after a Jennifer Miles kill. After each team starts exchanging offensive plays, Corozal gains on Toa Baja and ties the game at 21 all. But two consecutive errors by the Pinkin give the lead back to Toa Baja, 23-21. After a time out, Corozal again ties the score at 23, but a serve ace by Toa Baja closes the door on game 2, 25-23 for the Llaneras.

In the third game, Corozal starts with Vilmarie Mojica playing opposite due to Cassie's sore knee, and Evelyn Ayala comes in as setter. The Pinkin take a fast 5-0 lead and the Llaneras call a time-out. However, Toa Baja gets back into the game and closes in, 6-5. Corozal responds by pulling away, 13-8, and the Llaneras call their second time-out. Still, Toa Baja won't go away, and they tied the score at 20 with a Gabriela Marquez kill. Even though Corozal manages to tie at 23, the Llaneras close the night with a 25-23 win.
