Cassie Busse (hitting)

1.28.04 - The Pinkin fell 3-2 in an exciting game played at the Carmen Z. Figueroa Gym in Corozal last night. Corozal won the first game 25-22 with good offensive balance, but had to work hard against a determined San Juan team. In the second and third games, Corozal's offense became one-dimensional with only Cassie Busse hitting consistently.So at the beginning of game four, and trailing 2-1, Cassie Busse took over the game offensively and defensively and her play lifted her teammates to give a better effort, and they won, 25-23. In the fifth and deciding game, Corozal fell behind 14-12, but grabbed the lead after a block and a kill by Jessica Candelario. Unfortunately, they couldn't hold on, and the Chicas won 17-19 in a block by Yasary Castrodad. For Corozal Cassie Busse scored 26 points, and for San Juan, Aurimar Rodríguez scored 19.
