2.10.04 - Corozal had a tough night on Valentine's Day and fell in a three-game match to the Ponce Leonas at the Carmen Z. Figueroa Gym in Corozal. The scores were 25-19, 25-15, 25-19, all for Ponce. The Pinkin have a very important week ahead with games against San Juan, Bayamón and Guaynabo. The Leonas got their game rythmn going early and the Pinkin found itself playing catch-up. Katie Olsovsky play was crucial in a first game win 25-19. In the second game, Corozal fell behind early 1-5, and could not contain the Ross-Olsovsky offensive, while at the same time having trouble passing.In the third game, Corozal made a valiant effort and managed its first lead of the match, but it was too little, too late, as Ponce rallied late and won 25-19. Cassie Busse lead all scorers with 18 points (17 kills, 1 ace), meawhile, for Ponce, Katie Olsovsky and April Ross scored 15 each.
