1.30.04 - The Corozal Pinkin literally let victory slip away from them as they blew a 7 point lead in the fifth and deciding game to fall to the Toa Baja Llaneras. It was the second consecutive loss in a five-game match for the Pinkin. Again, Cassie Busse lead the team's scoring with 32 points (24 kills, 5 blocks and 3 aces). The match was very close with neither team allowing the other to take any big leads. The Llaneras won the first game, 25-22, and the third 27-25, while the Pinkin won the second 26-24 and the fourth 25-21. Carried by momentum from their fourth game victory, Corozal took an early lead 7-4, and then went up 13-6. But behind Aury Cruz and the difficult serves by Jocelyn Texidor, Toa Baja rolled, 9-0 to win 15-13. For the Llaneras, and the match, Aury Cruz was the highest scorer with 34 points.
