(hitting) scored 17 points against Isabela |
1.23.04 - Tonight
Corozal was the visiting team, and the opposition was stiff. The girls
couldn’t really their offensive rhythm going, and had problems receiving and
setting the ball. The first game of the match was close, and Corozal led it
19-18 at one point, but errors proved costly at the end, and they lost,
25-22. In the
second game, the Pinkin fell behind early, but managed to catch up and take
the lead 16-13. But again, mistakes and poor play selection made them fall
behind, and they lost it, 25-20. In the third game of the match, the Isabela
Playeras took a five-point lead early on, and it proved too much for the
Pinkin, who used some of their bench-players towards the end of the match,
trying to get something going. They lost the last game, 25-19.The
Corozal Pinkin are now 2-3 for the season and they play the Bayamón Vaqueras
tomorrow night, Jan. 24, at home in Corozal. |
