2.7.04 - The Caguas Criollas beat the Corozal Pinkin 3-0 in a match held at the Carmen Z. Figueroa Gym in Corozal in front of a enthusiastic crowd of fans from both team. The game scores were 25-21, 25-13 & 25-16 all in favor of the Criollas. Corozal plays the Carolina GIgantes next Tuesday Feb. 10, at Carolina.  Even though the Pinkin came out fired-up at the beginning and held a lead until midway of the first game, Caguas controlled the match from start to finish. After tying the first game, the Criollas dominated the game with great defensive play at the net which included 5 blocks by Jetzabel Del Valle, plus their serve hurt Corozal's passing and offensive play. Caguas got a large lead in the second game, and even though the Pinkin stayed close for most of the third game, Caguas pulled away after the 16th point and won the game 25-16. For Corozal, Cassie Busse scored 17, and for Caguas, Kim Willoughby, 16.
